About US
Hello! We are Sonam and Maria, a Polish-Sikkimese couple who moved to Sikkim few years ago. We both bid adieu to our corporate lives in Amsterdam and decided to search alternate ways of living. Soon after we came to Gangtok, an opportunity came up to renovate a little hotel which belonged to Sonam’s parents and open a small Bed & Breakfast – our Bumblebee Bed & Breakfast.
THE AREA
Located right next to a tiny market which includes amenities such as grocery shop, snack bars, tourist information, cafes, ATM and a taxi stand and many more.
Taxis are available almost at the entrance to the hotel and cover the most visited spots (M.G. Marg, Lal Bazaar, Enchey Gompa, etc.) Shared taxi fare to the town is 20 rupees and individual 100 rupees.
The walking distance to the town centre is 800m and you can also enjoy beautiful morning walks to the Palace and the Enchey Gompa which are 1/2h away from the Development Area.
